literally, by the mass of the dark color, which is both larger and on top of the red panels. This gives the red a "stuck on," non-cohesive, "lost" appearance that is a poor design choice, from both where the panels are covered, and the color chosen. Carlos' interior on the other hand, is an entirely different story. Although still not my cup of tea, it suceeds from a design and color contrast standpoint, mainly because the seats are incorporated into the overall design. This ties everything together, and gives a much needed focal point, particularly the design of the pattern cut on the seats which greatly increases the intrinsic visual appeal.
